Advanced Academics

Bắn Cá Hải Tặc iOSIn order for students to grow academically, they need to be challenged. At Metro Nashville Public Schools, we recognize that not all students learn in the same ways. Some students require intellectual stimulation that goes above and beyond our normal school curriculum, and we work very hard to be able to facilitate that. MNPS has programs for academically gifted, highly motivated students of every age level.

Gifted & Talented Program for Young Learners

We do our best to identify exceptional, academically gifted students as early as possible. If students show signs of extraordinary academic talent in their early years, we urge parents to enroll them in our elementary gifted and talented program, Encore. Students who participate in Encore will have access to advanced academic curriculum, putting them on the fast track to advanced education.

International Baccalaureate (IB)

Internationally-Focused Curriculum Advocating For Peace

Our rigorous International Baccalaureate (IB) Program begins in Middle School (or a select group of Elementary Schools) and continues through High School. Students who participate in the AP program are viewed favorably by college admissions boards and enjoy the  flexibility to explore their prospective fields of study earlier rather than later.

Dual Enrollment Program

Work Towards High School & College Degrees Simultaneously
